Lindfield Preparatory School is an International Baccalaureate World School authorised to teach the Primary Years Programme (PYP). Through the PYP we aim to promote trans-disciplinary learning through an inquiry-based framework.

 

About the Position:

 

Two exciting 12-month contract opportunities present for recently graduated teachers:

  • Full-time Learning Enhancement Teaching Intern / Teachers’ Aide (1.0 FTE)

Both positions are to commence Term 1, 2020. The positions provide the opportunity for a new graduate to work in an important role within the School whilst gaining valuable experience as a graduate teacher in a dynamic learning environment.

 

The successful applicants will work as an integral member of the Learning Enhancement Department in providing support and enrichment for our boys. The Learning Enhancement Department supports teachers in meeting the diverse needs of our learners.

 

They will collaborate with class teachers to provide support and enrichment for small groups of boys within the context of the regular classroom. As such, experience or expertise in Special Education or Gifted Education would be beneficial, but not essential.

 

An interest in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (PYP) would be beneficial. An ability and willingness to contribute to the pastoral care and co-curricular program will be required.
